I can’t get over how gorgeous this time of year is for all family photographers in SoCal! Seriously, we are so stinking lucky to live here and to be able to photograph in locations like this one! Santiago Oaks Regional Park is a beautiful little park nestled in the middle of homes and it’s the perfect location for a day hike or to be adventurous with the family! As a family photographer, I can vouch and say that not only is this regional park the perfect spot for a hike but it’s the perfect spot for updated family portraits as well!
This sweet family is expecting a new little addition to their family very soon! Their sweet little boy will be here before they know it and they wanted to remember these precious last few moments as a family of three! Their outfits and this location of the park was what photographer’s dreams are made of – I mean, come on! Look at their images, so pretty!
Santiago Oakd Regional Park was victim to a fire not too long ago and that really impeded how much we were able to use this beautiful park in the last year and half for us photographers. The park had time to heal and it looks prettier than ever right now! I can’t wait to get back here and shoot some more sessions… a dreamy engagement session perhaps? 😉
Guys, while we are on the topic of family portraits let me just say a few things. Okay, just one thing about them – DO THEM! Don’t wait for the perfect time to get your family together, there will never be a perfect time. Family portraits so important though and if you really dislike taking family pictures then I recommend setting them up in a location like this beautiful regional park to make it easier and more enjoyable for the whole family! I’m so glad this family chose to document their family of three before they become a family of four! Cherish these moments, one day you will lok back at them and be SO glad that you did!
