Winnie and David’s Inn of the Seventh Ray Wedding in Topanga CA started as a very rainy wedding day. To clarify, I’m not talking about a few sprinkles here and there. I’m talking about pouring down rain during the day! When we pulled up to the venue it was pouring down pretty hard. Thankfully the rain let up about an hour after our arrival and then it started to clear up a tad. Rain and all, we made the best out of it and their wedding day was still a beautiful day! Of course, their December wedding was gorgeous and a “little” bit of rain wasn’t going to stop us!
I met Winnie a year ago when I photographed her sister’s wedding in Los Angeles. We talked and she booked me for her own wedding just a couple of weeks after her sister’s wedding! Since then we’ve really gotten to know each other. Winnie and David are both nurses in Los Angeles, therefore you can imagine their busy schedule. Not only do they both have very demanding jobs but they also have four children. Of course, they were truly deserving of a beautiful Inn of the Seventh Ray Wedding day!

How cool is that? Knowing that we decided to have their engagement session in downtown Los Angeles not too far from the Dodgers stadium. It was a whole lot of fun getting to know each other with the Los Angeles overlook behind us. It was a fun day, similarly to their rainy wedding day – rain and all! however
Due to the rain, we only had a limited amount of spots to work with as a result. The venue has a lot of very pretty but confining areas that a lot of photographers usually use for portraits but all of those areas were flooded on their rainy wedding day. However, we made the best out of the area we had to work with and it turned out amazing! So glad that Winnie and David trusted the choices I made on their wedding day – even when it was having them stand in the middle of a parking lot! Most importantly, that meant that we were able to get beautiful portraits as a result of their trust! in addition
