Patricia and Galen’s modern & elegant wedding day was the kind of celebration that reminds me why I love what I do. It was timeless, elegant, modern, and filled with such thoughtful cultural traditions.
The day began with a beautiful Catholic mass at Saint Finbar Church in Burbank, where Patty walked down the aisle in the most stunning beaded gown with delicate sleeves. She paired her dress with a sleek, elegant updo that was the perfect finishing touch. Galen looked every bit the classic groom in a black tuxedo, standing tall but a bit emotional as he saw his bride for the first time. With good reason, Patty was an absolute vision!
After the ceremony, guests gathered for a reception that was designed with a minimalist yet impactful vision. The long, winding tables dressed in organic linen tablecloths, paired with lush florals, created such an effortlessly beautiful setting. It was modern, fresh, and yet so timeless.
One of the most memorable moments of the night was when Patty and Galen slipped away and returned in new outfits!Surprising everyone as they stepped into the reception wearing traditional Indian Lehenga. Their guests’ faces lit up, and the reception was buzzing with excitement. It was such a special way to honor Galen’s heritage and bring even more joy into the evening.
Later, the couple treated their guests to a coffee bar, sweets, and a traditional Oaxacan candy dance! The candy dance is a lively and festive tradition that had everyone smiling and celebrating together. It was such a beautiful representation of not just two people, but of two cultures and families coming together.
From beginning to end, Patty and Galen’s day was a stunning blend of elegance and tradition, carefully woven together into a wedding that felt uniquely theirs. I feel so lucky to have been able to capture it all. From the quiet, emotional moments, to the grand celebrations, and everything in between!
