And to think… we almost canceled this Carmel by the Sea engagement session because we were risking getting rained out! Yup! We almost canceled! As many of your know, we have had so much rainfall in the last few weeks here in California. When we scheduled Syndey and Luke’s engagement session and booked flights, we were unaware that California was going to have weeks of rain after several years of being in a drought state. The only day of the week that was scheduled to have a few hours of clear skies and only light rain was the day of their engagement session so we decided to go for it! I’m so glad we did!
Their Carmel by the Sea engagement session was stunning, romantic, and EPIC!
The clouds were moving so quickly that in some moments we had full sun and in others, we had dark skies. The cold weather and constant rain also created some thick beach haze but all in all, it was perfect! The haze added such a romantic touch to their photos! Sydney and Luke braved the cold during their Carmel by the Sea engagement session, but it was worth it!
I had so much fun getting to know Luke and Sydney during their engagement session! I landed in the early afternoon into the Monterrey, CA airport, they picked me up, we drove to three different locations, had a Starbucks break, and they dropped me back off at the airport for me to fly home! It was perfect!
Sydney and Luke are getting married in Granite Bay, CA next year, and I’m already so excited about it! We connected so much during the car rides between our different locations. Being able to connect with my clients on a personal level is one of the things I love most about engagement sessions!
Luke and Sydney, thank you SO much for allowing me to be part of this time in your lives! This session was EPIC, and I can’t wait for the wedding day! I already know it’s going to be amazing!
LOVED this Carmel by the Sea / Big Sur Engagement session and would like to chat about me photographing your engagement session too? I would love to do that! You can contact me HERE and we can start planning!
