Josh and Miriam’s El Matador Beach engagement session was worth the wait! We had to reschedule their session twice. The first time we rescheduled, Malibu was experiencing a record heat wave of 112 degrees… yes, 112 degrees at the beach. It’s unheard of in this area of California! Personally, anytime it’s in the mid 90s and above, I advise my couples to reschedule. Here’s the thing about engagement sessions: you hold each other a lot throughout the session, and when it’s that hot, it’s so uncomfortable to even hold hands!
It was worth the wait! While it was a tad cold, we had a beautiful sunset with clear skies. El Matador Beach engagement sessions can be tricky because of the unpredictable tides and beach gloom that sometimes set in at sunset and sunrise. It was a beautiful clear day! The only worry we had was keeping Josh’s vans out of the water… which we didn’t really accomplish, but it all worked out.
Miriam and Josh, thank you so very much for being so flexible when we had to reschedule for the second time due to my grandmother’s passing. You guys were so patient and loving during that time, and it truly touched my heart that you were so understanding. Thank you for allowing me to be part of such a special time in your lives! Your wedding at Gerry Ranch is going to be amazing, and I’m already *SO* excited for it!
XO!
