There is something undeniably magical about a Los Angeles Engagement session, especially when it’s at El Matador Beach. The dramatic cliffs, the hidden coves, and that golden California light make it one of my favorite places for engagement sessions! Especially at sunset.
Amanda and Jason kicked things off by bringing their pup along for the first part of their session, and honestly, I am always here for couples including their dogs. Those first moments were relaxed, playful, and full of personality, the perfect way to ease into photos and make the session feel natural and fun. Watching them laugh, explore the shoreline, and dote on their pup was such a sweet glimpse into their everyday love.
As the sun dipped lower, the light turned soft and glowy, wrapping the beach in warm tones. We popped a bottle of champagne right as the sky started to shift colors. It felt like such a celebration of this season they are in. Barefoot in the sand, waves crashing nearby, champagne bubbles catching the light. It was effortless and romantic in the best way.
Amanda and Jason are getting married later this year in Carmel, CA. I am beyond excited to capture their wedding by the coast. If their engagement session was any indication, their day is going to be filled with intention, joy, and so much love. Coastal weddings have my whole heart! I already know Carmel is going to be the perfect backdrop for their story.
