Kristen and Ethan’s Point Dume engagement session was such a good one! It felt like the kick off to summer but in reality it was just the start of spring. We were just in the middle of a heat wave and the coast was such a nice break from the heat.
We started up on the cliffs overlooking the beach. Point Dume beach in Malibu, CA has incredible views when you’re on those cliffs. It was the perfect place to ease into the session and capture those natural, in-between moments while they settled in and just enjoyed being together.
From there, we made our way down to the sand as the sun started to set. The light shifted quickly and the whole mood warmed up as we got closer to the water. Kristen and Ethan walked along the shoreline, stayed present with each other, and kept things effortless the entire time.
We wrapped the session right as the sun dipped below the horizon, with the prettiest golden glow reflecting off the water. A simple, beautiful evening from start to finish! I can’t wait for their wedding day and to work with their incredible planning team from Remmi Events!

If you’re considering a Point Dume engagement session or somewhere similar, the experience is really about keeping things simple and letting the location and your connection lead the way. Sessions like this aren’t about stiff posing or overthinking every moment, they’re about showing up, being yourselves, and trusting the process. When that happens, everything naturally falls into place and you end up with images that feel like you, in a setting that brings it all together.
