It’s when you get to know your photographer… the person you spend most of your wedding day with!

Did you know that sometimes you spend more time with your wedding photographer on the wedding day than you sometimes do with each other!? I know, it’s crazy but it’s true. That’s why it’s so important to feel comfortable around them. Your engagement session is truly the BEST opportunity for us to really get to know each other before the big day. This holds true, especially for a groom. I want to make this a special time in your life and get to know you as a couple.

You get 3x more Portraits on your Wedding Day!

Because we get to know each other during your engagement session, you are much more relaxed on your wedding day. During your engagement I also walk you through several different posing tips and terms that I use. If we were to meet on your wedding day, I would have to explain much more and it would take you the first couple hours of the day to relax. The engagement session resolves all of these small aspects that can take a lot of time on the wedding day.

It’s the perfect time to test your hair and makeup wedding look!

One of the best wedding planning tips I have for brides is to do a hair and make up trial run for the engagement session. It will allow you too see how your make up photographs and if you love it. It’s also a great opportunity to do a wear test for your make up.

You’re only engaged for a short amount of time…

Planning a wedding takes a lot of time. Sometimes, we forget to celebrate the engagement because we jump straight into wedding planning. Your engagement is a special time in your life and yet, it’s also short-lived. Engagement sessions are a great time to slow down and enjoy your engagement and also have beautiful engagement portraits.

Ultimately, I want to get to know you prior to your wedding day. I want to get to know what makes you guys laugh, relax, and have fun together! Especially, for the grooms that don’t always feel comfortable in front of the camera. Engagement portraits are a wonderful way to remember your engagement as well. If you would like to book your wedding and schedule your engagement session with me, let’s chat!
