If Julie looks familiar, there’s a good reason for that! For the last three years, she has been right alongside me photographing so many of the weddings you’ve seen here on the blog. She has captured countless moments for my couples! So getting the chance to photograph her own wedding day at The Harper was incredibly special.
Julie and Will’s wedding at The Harper in Orange County was the perfect reflection of who they are: thoughtful, sentimental, and full of meaningful details. Every element of the day carried a story. Julie wore her mother’s wedding dress. Will carried his late father’s pocket watch with him throughout the day. Even the wedding design was rooted in family history, with Will’s grandmother’s gifted china serving as inspiration for the decor.
Blue and white patterned china, delicate vases, and carefully curated details brought the vision together beautifully. The design felt classic without being overly formal, blending family heirlooms with modern touches in the most perfect way!
One of my favorite parts of the day was watching Julie experience everything from the other side of the camera. As photographers, we’re usually focused on documenting everyone else’s memories. Seeing her fully present, soaking in every moment with Will, surrounded by the people they love most, was incredibly meaningful.
