Alica and Adam’s Carmel Valley engagement photos gave me all the things! We had beautiful light, a fun location, cute dogs, and a gorgeous couple. It was perfect! As a Monterey Wedding Photographer, I love when couples suggest their favorite locations for engagement photos. Which is exactly what Alicia and Adam did!
I flew into the Monterey Bay area the morning of their engagement session, rented a car, and drove to our location for engagement photos. I flew home that same night, it was a long day but EPIC!
Alicia and Adam wanted their session to feel true to them. Including their dogs in the engagement photos was special to them and as you guys know, I’m all for pups in photos! I even wrote an entire blog post about how to include them in your photos. You can read that post here!

Absolutely LOVE this photo! I love that it feels so much like them. THIS is what makes engagement photos so important. This is the time that I get to know my clients more personally to better serve them on their wedding day!
We gave the pups a break and decided to explore a different part of the park for the second half of their engagement photos!
Alicia brought her boots to incorporate into her photos and it made my Monterey Wedding Photographer happy. If you are from the Monterey area you know that the true beauty of the county is the rolling hills, country life, and horses.

“Everyone tells you the pictures of your wedding are the most important thing as you will have them for years to come. So I knew that finding a photographer that was extremely talented and whom we could be comfortable sharing intimate wedding moments with was vital.
I searched for days trying to find a photographer whose photos I loved and who we felt comfortable with. Then I found Nataly.
We spoke with her for at least an hour and most of it was getting to know each other. We discovered how much we had in common and it felt like we were old friends. She utilizes natural light and works hard to get her pictures correct in camera first and that is a skill I admire and envy! That effort shows in each picture! She captures the feeling and emotion in each moment and none of our pictures looked staged or overly edited.
She came up from San Diego for our engagement pictures and was perfect! We brought our two border collies and she loved on them and got some great pictures with them. If you know border collies getting them to hold still is not the easiest task. But she knew exactly how to get their attention and capture not only our emotions and personalities but theirs as well. She made us feel so at ease and comfortable in front of the camera. I fell in love with my engagement pictures as soon as I got them! She came back up for our wedding and she blew everyone away!
Our family and friends commented on how great she was. She captured so many great shots and I never felt awkward or uncomfortable at all. I had no doubt that she would capture our special day in a way that no one else could. The sneak peek we got confirmed my beliefs, she did a phenomenal job and these would be pictures we’d treasure forever.
When we got the full album the hardest part was picking out which ones we wanted to hang up! We loved them all so much! I highly recommend Nataly to anyone who is looking for a Monterey wedding photographer!”
