Jeffrey Open Space Trail Engagement Session | Shelby + Robert

You guys, where do I even start with Shelby and Robert’s Engagement Session at Jeffrey Open Space Trail! From the moment that Shelby inquired with me last year, I just knew we were a great match. We connected on so many levels and then she mentioned she wanted to bring Milo (their corgi puppy) to their engagement session and I was even that much more excited to have them as clients! Robert proposed to Shelby at the same spot where he asked her to be his girlfriend – nine years ago! When I asked Shelby to share a little bit about their engagement and about them, in general, she spoke about it as if they had grown up together. Their foundation is so strong and it definitely shows! They are so incredibly cute together and their adorable corgi (dog) only amplified that cuteness by like 100 times! I left their engagement session wanting a corgi and I definitely have enough dogs… for now, ha!

Shelby and Robert are getting married this July in Palos Verdes, CA and I am beyond excited for their day to be here! I feel like Shelby and I became instant friends when we first spoke over FaceTime and it’s almost like I’m looking forward to a friends wedding. The last two years I have really focused on booking clients who I feel I connect with. It was a scary step to take if I’m being totally honest! As a results, it meant saying no to some couples but it has been 100% one of the best decisions I’ve made for my business and my clients, I want to be a friend and not just another wedding vendor to check off of their to do list. wedding vendor

I love connecting with my couples on a deeper level than just another “wedding vendor”.

I mean, you do end up spending more time with me than you do with your future husband or wife on your wedding day. So it really is important to me that my clients feel comfortable when I arrive on their day. I want them to not only feel comfortable but to TRUST me! That’s exactly what Robert and Shelby did when it came to their engagement session location. Boy, am I glad they did because it was a beautiful day in Irvine at the Jeffrey Open Space Trail! This was only my second time using this location but it truly is a favorite of mine, it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Shelby and Robert, I can’t tell you guys enough how excited I am for your wedding day! You two are just precious and your sweet Milo just makes me all that more excited to be part of your day.
