Picture it. Gilroy 2019… It was complete darkness. Ha! Just Kidding (can you tell I’ve been watching a lot of The Golden Girls lately? LOL!). Okay, it wasn’t a complete joke. The morning of Christina and Paul’s Eagle Ridge Wedding was gorgeous. Honestly, a top favorite wedding in wine country for me! A perfect wedding day… and then the power went out! Complete darkness!
Yes, you read that right. Gilroy had a massive power outage the morning of their Eagle Ridge Wedding.
The hotel we were all in had no power, the wedding venue had no power and most of the city was out as well. When we called the venue they told us they weren’t exactly sure what to do because this had never happened in Gilroy (talk about nerve-racking!). It was a popular wedding date so I’m sure all those beautiful brides planing a wedding in wine country went through a full panic. So scary for any Gilroy Wedding Venues, I’m sure! The power was out for almost two hours! Christina did an amazing job of staying calm. The sane “You shouldn’t stress over what you can’t control” was SO true that morning. Two hours later, the power came back on and their Eagle Ridge Wedding was a “GO!”.
When I first met Christina and Paul it was for their engagement session at Disneyland! These two were complete troopers, let me tell you. It was May 4th (may the 4th be with you day at Disneyland) it was almost 100 degrees that day and the park was crazy crowded. Maybe not the best for our first time meeting and taking photos but we had SO much fun getting to know each other and it was totally worth us being a sweaty mess at the end of it.agle Ridge Wedding.
Christina and Paul, your Eagle Ridge Wedding was an absolute dream…
I can’t thank you enough for choosing me to be part of your absolutely stunning wedding in wine coutnry! It’s so evident that you are so loved by your friends and family and I feel blessed to have been a small part of that love. I hope you are having an AMAZING time in Hawaii!
XO,
Nataly
The last year Christina and I have been in constant contact and we got to know each other so well. We developed a friendship and when the morning of the wedding day came and the power went out I walked down to Christina’s room. Right after showering, no make up and in a t-shirt and jeans to give her a big hug and re-assure her it would all be totally fine. This is how comfortable we have become with one another. This is the type of relationship I love to have with my brides! A real friendship.
Talk about a beautiful Gilroy wedding venue!
