Taylor and Evan’s Franciscan Gardens Wedding was in short… A M A Z I N G!!! It was a rainy day with predicted thunder and lightning, and while we got heavy rain throughout the day, it would slow down in the most perfect moments. This is not to say that we weren’t prepared with clear umbrellas (to continue portraits!) and a rain plan was put in place.
They had their first look at the historic San Juan Capistrano Mission, which is just steps away from their venue and made for epic portraits with them and their bridal party! It’s a great option if you are having a Franciscan Gardens Wedding!
Evan and Taylor truly went out of their way to make their guests feel special and loved on *their* wedding day. Not only did they write personal letters to each wedding guest, but instead of exchanging vows with each other during their ceremony, they read vows to each other’s families. I have truly never seen so many tears during a ceremony—and I’ve attended a lot of ceremonies! They chose to read their private vows to each other before the ceremony, making it a personal and intimate moment for them.
Their Franciscan Gardens wedding was so very special to be part of! Not only because I connected so much with Taylor and Evan but also because of how vulnerable they chose to be with their loved ones. It was an honor to be part of, witness, and capture for them!
Taylor and Evan, thank you for letting me be part of your Franciscan Gardens Wedding!!! I loved every second of it! From getting ready while it was downpouring rain to capturing your last private dance together! Your entire day was EPIC!
